Service Manager

Responsibilities:

As Service Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and developing our service team across the Nordic region (SE, DK, FI). You will manage and mentor a team of field service engineers and team leaders, ensuring customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and alignment with our global service strategy. You will report to the General Manager APN and have a dotted line to the EMEA Regional Service Manager.
Whether you’re an experienced leader in technical service or a service planner/coordinator ready to step into management, this role offers both challenge and growth.

Your Key responsibilities will be:

  • Manage, lead and support the Nordic service team to deliver top-tier customer support.
  • Ensure excellent service planning, scheduling, and customer communication.
  • Manage the team’s training and professional development.
  • Drive continuous improvement in service operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with sales and product specialists to support business development.
  • Monitor service KPIs, response times, and customer feedback.
  • Maintain adherence to service department policies and procedures in accordance with corporate and industry safety and quality standards
  • Handle escalations and ensure fast, effective resolution.
  • Follow up on Customer Feedback Surveys to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Be an active member of the AP Nordics management team
  • Contribute to and drive the Service Strategy for AP Nordics
  • Align local operations with Anton Paar’s global service strategy through the Regional Service Management

Requirements:

Must-haves:

  • At least 3 years background in technical services, service planning, or field engineering.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage priorities and deliver under pressure.
  • Customer-first mindset and a proactive approach.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in English and one of the Nordic languages

Nice-to-haves:

  • Previous leadership experience and/or experience mentoring/supervision.
  • Familiarity with CRM, ERP systems, or service tools (SAP, Salesforce, etc.).
  • Experience in instrumentation, laboratory equipment, or industrial systems.
