Regional Sales Manager - Mechanical Surface Characterization (f/m/x)

As Regional Sales Manager for Mechanical Surface Characterization (MSC), you will drive the growth of our advanced product portfolio across EMEA. Working closely with sales teams and product management, you lead complex sales projects, identify new opportunities, and support customers in industrial and research applications. The portfolio enables precise measurement of hardness, scratch resistance, and friction—down to the nanometer scale.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify, develop, and manage new sales opportunities in the field of mechanical surface analysis across the EMEA region
- Drive and coordinate complex technical sales projects in collaboration with product management and national sales teams
- Create technically sound and customer-specific system configurations
- Analyze technical specifications and support the preparation of competitive quotations, including pricing and system setup
- Conduct customer visits, deliver technical presentations, and represent the company at conferences and trade shows
- Enable and train local sales teams through application know-how, product expertise, and market insights
- Gather and communicate market trends, customer feedback, and future requirements to the product line for solution development
- Develop and implement market-specific sales strategies, including competitive positioning and key selling points
- Achieve defined sales targets for the assigned product portfolio
Your profile:
- University degree in Materials Science, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable technical field
- Several years of proven experience in international sales or product management, ideally in a high-tech or scientific environment
- Strong communication skills and confidence in dealing with both technical and commercial stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (sales and product management)
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required; German and/or French is a strong advantage
- Willingness to travel internationally (approx. 50%)

We offer a fair and market-aligned salary based on the collective agreement for employees in the metal trade – adjusted to the regional conditions of the Styrian labor market. The minimum gross monthly salary for this position is € 4.500 (based on full-time employment). What truly counts for us are your personality, your skills, and the experience you bring. That’s why we take the time to determine your actual gross salary individually and are happy to offer a higher pay in recognition of your qualifications.
