Product Engineer (f/m/d) for optical instruments
Anton Paar OptoTec GmbH | Seelze
As a dedicated Product Engineer, you supervise and support our high-precision measuring instruments from prototype development through to series production. You take responsibility for ensuring quality in series production and develop measures to improve the production process. This is done in close collaboration with specialists from development, production, and quality assurance, between whom you form the interface.
Responsibilities:
Product Development You contribute your experience from device manufacturing to the product development projects of our complex optical measuring instruments. In collaboration with the development department, you evaluate prototype parts, assemblies, and production processes with regard to manufacturability and cost. You also carry out independent type and component testing as well as technical approvals.
Prototypes As part of the preparation for series production, you plan the construction of prototypes and manage pre-series logistics. In doing so, you work closely as part of a cross-functional team with other departments.
Series Production You plan and oversee the series production of our measuring instruments. This includes creating the necessary documentation and test plans and training the relevant colleagues. In the event of defects, you systematically analyze the root causes and develop suitable measures to maintain our excellent product quality in the long term.
Product Support You implement series modifications, ensure compliance with standards, and make a significant contribution to the quality and cost efficiency of our products through production optimization. Together with the development and production departments, you conduct cost analyses and optimizations. You qualify new suppliers for purchased components in collaboration with the purchasing and development teams. You also provide technical support and advice to production when technical questions arise.
Your profile:
Well Educated You hold a degree in engineering or are a certified technician in the field of mechatronics, electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering. Alternatively, you possess a comparable qualification.
Experience You have at least three years of professional experience, ideally in production, project work, or the development of technical devices or systems.
Quality You have high quality standards, think analytically, and work with great attention to detail. You are familiar with common quality management methods and apply them effectively to achieve quality objectives using best practices.
Effectiveness You are well organized, work independently, and have a results-oriented and structured approach to your work.
Project Work You enjoy interdisciplinary project work and take pleasure in achieving top results together with a committed team.
