Payroll Accountant (f/m/x)

Take ownership of payroll operations by ensuring correct calculations, maintaining master data and creating evaluations and reports. Using your expertise in labor, tax and social security law, you support employees and managers and contribute to SAP-based system enhancements and process optimization projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Independent execution of ongoing payroll processing for a defined group of employees
  • Ensuring accurate payroll accounting in compliance with labor law, tax law, and social security regulations
  • HR administrative tasks throughout the employee lifecycle (onboarding and offboarding, contract changes, leaves of absence, maintenance of master data)
  • Point of contact for employees, managers, and external institutions (tax authorities, social security institutions, public authorities)
  • Active involvement in system-related changes, process optimizations, and digitalization projectsSupporting system transitions, releases, and software testing in SAP
  • Preparation of analyses, reports, and statistics

Your profile:

  • Completed commercial education and certified payroll accounting qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in payroll accounting and HR administration, ideally in an industrial or corporate environment
  • Very good knowledge of labor law, tax law, and social security regulations, SAP HCM experience is an advantage
  • Interest in systems, processes, and digitalization; key user experience in payroll or time management is an advantage
  • Confident command of English for professional communication
  • Strong communication skills, ability to work in a team, and a service-oriented mindset
  • Structured, accurate, and self-reliant working style

We offer a fair and market-aligned salary based on the collective agreement for employees in the metal trade – adjusted to the regional conditions of the Styrian labor market. The minimum gross monthly salary for this position is €3.900 (based on full-time employment). What truly counts for us are your personality, your skills, and the experience you bring.
