Patent Engineer – Entry-Level Position for Outstanding Technical Talent (f/m/x)

Ready to enter the patent field after graduation? As a Patent Engineer (f/m/x), you explore new technologies, support inventions through to international filings and grow your IP expertise step by step with our guidance.
Responsibilities:
- Technical assessment of new inventions and support throughout the entire patenting process, from the initial idea to international filing
- Management and monitoring of our extensive patent portfolio
- Coordination of new patent applications and support in preparing patent grants
- Conducting freedom-to-operate analyses to avoid infringements of intellectual property rights
- Participation in patent-related examinations, searches, and due-diligence analyses
- Monitoring and analysing the competitive landscape in the field of industrial property protection
Your profile:
- Completed degree in physics, technical physics, electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering
- Ideally, initial exposure to patents or intellectual property (IP); the necessary training will be provided and supported by Anton Paar
- Strong technical understanding and the ability to analyse complex developments with precision
- A structured, diligent, and independent way of working
- Excellent German and English skillsStrong communication skills and enthusiasm for interdisciplinary collaboration

We offer a fair and market-aligned salary based on the collective agreement for employees in the metal trade – adjusted to the regional conditions of the Styrian labor market. The minimum gross monthly salary for this position is € 4.500 (based on full-time employment). What truly counts for us are your personality, your skills, and the experience you bring. That’s why we take the time to determine your actual gross salary individually and are happy to offer a higher pay in recognition of your qualifications.
