Mechanical Design Engineer - Willingness to Work Abroad (f/m/x)

Responsibilities:

  • Development of innovative concepts to solve complex metrological challenges
  • Design and development of individual parts and assemblies up to complete measuring instruments
  • Analytical and simulation-based design of components and assemblies
  • Creation of production-ready drawings and maintenance of master data
  • Close coordination with mechanical manufacturing, purchasing, assembly, service, and product management to efficiently implement innovative solutions
  • Assembly, verification, and optimization of prototypes to ensure optimal functionality
  • Support in the transition from prototypes to series production, and technical support of serial solutions with a high level of personal responsibility
  • You serve as the link between international subsidiaries and the headquarters in Graz
     

Requirements:

  • Completed higher technical education (HTL, University of Applied Sciences, Technical University) in mechanical engineering or mechatronics
  • In-depth knowledge of materials science, design, and manufacturing technologies
  • Experience in design for manufacturing (turning, milling, sheet metal processing, etc.); basic understanding of mechatronic aspects is desirable
  • Confident handling of 3D CAD tools such as Creo or similar systems
  • Enthusiasm for metrology and sensor technology, along with a passion for creative tinkering
  • Preferably willingness to spend several years abroad (expatriate assignment 1–3 years in GER, CH, or USA) at one of Anton Paar Group's international subsidiaries after comprehensive onboarding at headquarters
  • Independent, precise, and quality-oriented working style
  • Strong team spirit, communication skills, and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken
  • Knowledge of French is an advantage

We offer a fair and market-aligned salary based on the collective agreement for employees in the metal trade – adjusted to the regional conditions of the Styrian labor market. The minimum gross monthly salary for this position is €3.500 (based on full-time employment, excl. allowance). That’s why we take the time to determine your actual gross salary individually and are happy to offer a higher pay in recognition of your qualifications.
