Hardware Design Engineer (f/m/x)

Innovation, combined with craftsmanship and a genuine passion for research, forms the foundation of our success and drives everything we do.You develop innovative measuring instruments in a team and take responsibility for the electronic design—from concept and circuit design to test plans and active involvement in transitioning to series production.

Responsibilities:

  • Development of an electronics concept in coordination with other departments
  • Creation of overview diagrams such as block diagrams
  • Design and creation of circuits and circuit diagrams in cooperation with specialist departments
  • Development of a test concept for printed circuit boards in coordination with manufacturing
  • Approval of PCB designs after completion of the PCB artwork by the PCB design team
  • Execution of verification measurements on circuits and assemblies
  • Support during the transition to series production, including verification and EMC testing Implementation of necessary modifications in series products
  • Active involvement in problem-solving during serial production Integration of new technologies and consideration of current requirements from relevant departments such as mechanical design, software, safety, manufacturing, purchasing, and product

Requirements:

  • Completed studies in electrical engineering or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in electrical engineering
  • Preferably willingness to spend several years abroad (1–3 years as an expatriate in GER, CH, or USA) at one of Anton Paar Group’s international subsidiaries following extensive training at headquarters
  • Knowledge of circuit design and verification
  • Experience with safety and regulatory requirements (e.g., EMC, CE, UL) advantageous
  • Hands-on experience in the lab and workshop (e.g. electrical measurement instrumentation, soldering)
  • Very good written and spoken English skills (C1/C2)
  • Very good written and spoken German skills (C1/C2) is an advantage
  • Strong team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
  • High standards of quality, precision in work, and analytical thinking
  • Willingness to travel: 10–20%

We offer a fair and market-aligned salary based on the collective agreement for employees in the metal trade – adjusted to the regional conditions of the Styrian labor market. The minimum gross monthly salary for this position is €4.000 (based on full-time employment). What truly counts for us are your personality, your skills, and the experience you bring.
