Field Service Engineer – based in Gävle-Sundsvall area

Anton Paar Nordic AB, a subsidiary of Anton Paar GmbH, is currently looking for a Service Technician (Field-Based) to strengthen our service team in Sweden. The ideal candidate will be located between Gävle and Sundsvall.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with high-end analytical instruments in a dynamic, international company known for its quality, innovation, and precision.

Responsibilities:

Perform on-site maintenance, calibration, and repair of laboratory and process instruments across Sweden (primarily) and the Nordics (occasionally).
Provide remote support and troubleshooting assistance to customers.
Conduct in-house servicing of returned equipment.
Deliver customer training on instrument usage and basic maintenance.
Support sales of service contracts and ensure excellent customer satisfaction.
Maintain and document service activities using SAP CRM tools.
Collaborate across departments to support business goals.

Requirements:

Education or hands-on experience in engineering, electronics, or mechanics.
Proficient with measuring instruments, hand tools, and ideally network/IT systems.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Prior experience in customer service or field support.
Strong communication skills in both Swedish and English.
High customer orientation with a structured and responsible work style.
Willingness to travel extensively within Sweden (up to 50–90 hotel nights/year), with occasional trips to other Nordic countries.
Valid driver’s license (B) and work permit for Sweden.
Experience with high-precision instruments is a strong plus.
