Glass Transition Temperature of Polymer Foam
Relevant for: Parallel Plate, Linear Measuring Drive, Glass Transition Temperature, DMA, Polyurethane Foam
The temperature-dependent mechanical properties of a polyurethane foam were investigated using the Linear Drive 20 (LD20) in compression mode. The results revealed a glass transition temperature ranging from -51 °C to -56 °C, which is consistent with the literature value of approximately -50 °C for polyurethane. These results highlight the foam’s sensitivity to temperature changes and demonstrate the LD20’s suitability for the precise analysis of low-modulus materials.
