Lubricants & Beyond: Advanced Testing Solutions for the Petrochemical Sector

Join us for a comprehensive, hands-on workshop dedicated to Anton Paar’s latest analytical solutions for the petrochemical and lubricant industries. This focused session will offer deep insights into advanced technologies, methods, and instrumentation designed to streamline and elevate analysis workflows in petroleum testing, lubricant characterization, and more.

Our expert-led program will include a blend of theoretical sessions, product presentations, and practical demonstrations, showcasing how Anton Paar’s portfolio supports innovation and quality control in petrochemical applications, focusing on tribology, dynamic shear rheometry (DSR), viscometry, distillation, and spectroscopy tools.

We will also cover specialized lubricant analysis solutions, highlighting instruments such as the SVM viscometer, Lyza spectrometer, and DMA series for density and viscosity, with particular emphasis on real-world applications and user experience.

Participants will be split into four rotating groups (stations) to engage in interactive instrument demonstrations:

  • Station one: Tribology and Dynamic Shear Rheometry
  • Station two: Volatility and Consistency
  • Station three: Viscosity and Density
  • Station four: Lyza Spectroscopy

Zwelihle Ndlovu

Zwelihle joined Anton Paar Southern Africa in 2022 as a Sales Specialist and was promoted in 2025 to Product Manager, responsible for X-Ray Systems and Mechanical Surface Characterization. His expertise includes tribology, indentation, scratch testing, and coating thickness measurement. He holds a BSc Honours degree in Chemistry from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.

Serena Govender

Serena completed her BSc in Applied Chemistry from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal in 2015. She started her career as a QC Analyst, which then progressed into sales. In 2023 she joined Anton Paar Southern Africa as a Sales Specialist for Characterization focusing on Surface Characterization. In 2024 she was promoted to Product Manager for Viscosity and Petroleum Testing.

Tracy Mashiane

Tracy holds a Masters in Chemistry from VUT and would like to expand her knowledge in Environmental Management. She joined Anton Paar Southern Africa in 2024 as Sales Specialist in Characterization focusing on Torque Rheology. 

Monique Greyling

Monique holds an Honours degree in Biochemistry obtained from North-West University. She has specialized as an application and sales specialist in wet chemistry over the past 6 years. In 2024 she joined Anton Paar as a Product Manager, with a focus on FTIR technology.
