Technical Sales Specialist for Material Characterisation (WA/SA/NT)

Business Development Role selling scientific instruments to clients in academia and industry for material characterisation; responsible for direct sales of Anton Paar instrumentation and technical support in the fields of rheology, particle sizing, zeta potential, surface area and surface characterisation.

This position is home office based in Perth or Adelaide to cover WA/SA/NT.

Responsibilities:

Direct sales of Anton Paar laboratory instrumentation and technical support to customers
Effective management of existing customer accounts and the generation of new revenue through prospecting, lead/funnel follow-up and effective territory management in a broad base of industries and applications
Visit customer sites on a regular basis to give sales presentations, perform instrument demonstrations and installation of new products as well as training customers on the correct use of equipment
Additional administrative responsibilities include preparation of quotes, CRM management and territory reporting on a regular basis
Overnight travelling is required (~ 30% expected)
Occasional overseas travelling for product training
Overall responsibility for solidifying the value proposition of Anton Paar to the customer

Requirements:

Education in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Physics or Chemistry
A PhD/Masters or relevant industry experience will be highly regarded
Strong written and oral communication skills in English and must be capable of communicating equally well across company lines
Several years of experience in technical sales of analytical instruments preferred, but not essential
Good practical skills in measurement equipment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and math skills
Willingness to travel within the country and occasionally overseas
Valid driver license and ownership of well-maintained vehicle required
Valid work visa for Australia
