Privacy Policy Application Procedure

This applicant platform is operated by Anton Paar GmbH. The portal is used for the transmission of applications towards Anton Paar GmbH and the associated companies of the Anton Paar Group. Your data is exclusively used within the scope of your application procedure.

Anton Paar GmbH is committed to complying with all data protection regulations it is subject to and ensures that all companies of the Anton Paar Group comply equally with the legal requirements. To secure any data used by the Anton Paar Group in the application process, generally accepted technical safety standards are used to ensure the best possible protection against misuse, loss, or falsification.

1. Processing of your data

You explicitly agree that the data transmitted in the course of the online application and the data contained in the documents sent to us will be stored and processed by Anton Paar GmbH in an applicant database for the purpose of coordinating, evaluating, and processing the application.

For automated processing of your application, the following data are collected and processed:

• first name, surname, e-mail, address, date of birth, title, telephone number, citizenship
• additional questions depending on the respective position ad (e.g. driver’s license)
• education and professional background
• qualifications, distinctions, language skills
• application photo
• curriculum vitae
• letter of motivation
• documents and files which you upload

Your personal data is being saved as long as it is required to handle your application and as long as we have the legal obligation to keep it. In case of a separate consent, we keep your personal data for a maximum of eight years to contact you in case of appropriate further job postings. However, Anton Paar GmbH is not obligated to save your application data for a certain period of time and reserves the right to delete your application data at any time without further information.

Please note that the types of data mentioned above may also be transmitted to us by recruitment agencies in case you do not apply directly at Anton Paar.

As part of the online application, we will never ask you to provide us with “sensitive data”, also known as special categories of personal data. In the event that you unrequestedly and voluntarily disclose such information, you agree that we will process and use such information for the purposes set forth above.

2. Use of your data

Furthermore, you explicitly agree that the data you submit in the context of this online application will be forwarded to the appropriate personnel responsible within the Anton Paar Group for the purpose of personnel recruitment and will be processed/used within the above-mentioned framework. This also applies to a possible transfer and leaving of data to affiliated companies located abroad (i.e. companies located outside the European Union) depending on your application. The affiliated companies your job application may be transmitted to can be found on our corporate website (www.anton-paar.com).

The above mentioned personnel responsible and companies are explicitly committed to confidentiality. Notwithstanding the above, you acknowledge that states that are not members of the European Union can have a lower level of data protection than the European Union.

3. Data transfer to third parties

Without your consent, we will not disclose your personal data to external parties (this is explicitly not applicable to the “associated companies” mentioned above). However, you agree that we may transfer your personal data to service providers also known as processors (who may also be located abroad, including outside the European Union), who process and manage this data on behalf of and for the purposes specified by the Anton Paar Group.

4. Your rights regarding stored data

You have the right to free of charge information about which of your personal data we process and to rectification, deletion, and limitation of data processing and data portability. If you wish to assert these rights, please contact us by email at gdpr[at]anton-paar.com.

If you believe that we process your data contrary to applicable law, you can always contact us by email gdpr[at]anton-paar.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority or with the other competent supervisory authority (in particular in the member state of your place of residence or work).
