The Anton Paar Group bought the Fürstenstand in Graz in order to make it accessible to the public again. Now, almost two years after the purchase, the Fürstenstand is being reopened. The famous viewing platform has been renovated, a viewing tower has been added and it has been roofed over so that visitors can enjoy the view over Graz even in rainy weather. The renovated outdoor area offers visitors rest areas and chill-out zones. Several seating sets and two sun decks invite visitors to linger outside of business hours. Restrooms, a drinking fountain, a telescope and four free charging stations for e-bikes are also available at any time.

A lot has also happened in terms of hospitality: with Sebastian Tropper and Florian Vorraber (Fürstenstand Betriebs GmbH), tenants have been found for the restaurant, "After many years of traveling we - finally! - are back home. We came together after the call of the Fürstenstand - it inspired our heart from the very beginning! We want to live and give full service to create unforgettable moments for the people. As new "Hüttenwirte" of the city we are overwhelmed by the media presence and see this as a motivation to create a place for people to meet over the roofs of Graz. With good and honest gastronomy, which will be open to everyone from May 16."

At 754 meters above sea level, the Fürstenstand is the highest business in the city of Graz. It will offer grounded Styrian kitchen with best products, home-made cakes and tasty sundaes. The 3,600 sqm area offers places for relaxing, free time and events indoor and outdoor for up to 200 people. There is a panorama restaurant, a terrace with view over the city and an event hall for future events to have the greatest view over Graz.

Due to the new, attractive location of the Fürstenstand, the city of Graz will offer a so-called micro public transport system to the Plabutsch in the future: From July 2024 at the latest, it will be possible to get from the final stop of line 7 (Wetzelsdorf) to the Fürstenstand and back again by shared call cab during the known operating hours of Graz Linien.

Dominik Santner, CEO of 24 Asset Management GmbH, the real estate subsidiary of Anton Paar Group AG, is looking forward to the reopening after two years of intensive planning and renovation: “The project to revitalize the Fürstenstand was very challenging in terms of both approvals and construction. A big thank you goes to Johann Scherfranz and Patrick Schneeflock, who were responsible for the project on behalf of 24 Asset Management GmbH. Thanks also to the planning team of our general planer planconsort ZT GmbH and all construction companies working with Partl Bau GmbH. We are delighted that we were able to keep our promise from two years ago to make the Fürstenstand accessible to the public again. We wish the operating team a good start and every success.”
