Thank you for attending SAXS & XRD excites 2026
The first combined International SAXS & XRD excites Symposium was held at the Graz University of Technology from April 13 to 16, 2026. More than 140 participants from 30 countries discussed the latest trends and advances in the field of small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS), powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), thin-film XRD, and non-ambient XRD applications. Renowned experts met with young researchers and users from industry, learned from complementary fields, and expanded their networks.
Key topics
- SAXS/WAXS/RheoSAXS/USAXS for the study of nanostructured materials
- GISAXS/GIXRD/XRR for thin film and surface diffraction/scattering
- Operando / in situ analysis using X-ray scattering for battery research
- XRD, non-ambient XRD, and thin-film XRD methods and applications
- Total scattering and PDF analysis of disordered and amorphous materials
Key speakers
- Eva M. Herzig, University of Bayreuth, Germany
- Brian R. Pauw, Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM), Germany
- Uri Raviv The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel
- Bryan R. Wheaton, Corning Corporation, USA
- Simon Billinge, UC Santa Barbara, USA
- Noritaka Saito, Kyushu University, Japan
