Lunch & Learn | Sample Preparation

The search for specific elements in a matrix is a multi-step analysis. Whether it is contaminants in pharmaceuticals or heavy metals in environmental samples, nutrients or fillers for polymers, the goal is always to separate the matrix from the analyte as much as possible.

In addition to proper sampling, mixing and partitioning are also important to achieve a representative sample.

In doing so, you bump into questions such as:
 

  • How much can I weigh in?
  • What acids do I use to break down the matrix?
  • How do I ensure that the matrix is completely broken down?
  • What temperatures should I aim for?
  • How can I avoid contamination?
  • What about safety?
  • ...

On Thursday, February 27, we would like to offer you answers to these questions during our Lunch & Learn Sample Preparation which takes place at our offices in Gentbrugge.
We welcome you as of 09h00, starting at 09h30.

Guest speaker Tom Van Helden of Ghent University will also be present to share his experience with our microwave digestion systems with you.

A free lunch will be provided for all participants, as well as a voucher with a 10% discount, valid on a subsequent purchase.
