Mastering Feed Formulation: A Workshop for Aquafeed and Pet Food Development

Join us for this two-day aquafeed and pet food workshop designed for scientists, engineers, and technicians working in the field of feed formulation.

The first day will focus on Aquafeed, specifically on the formulation of fish feed with an emphasis on floatability. Participants will learn the key factors influencing floatation, including ingredient selection, extrusion parameters, and processing techniques. A hands-on demonstration using an extruder will allow attendees to observe how adjustments in formulation and processing conditions impact the floatability of the final product. Analytical methods for testing floatability, such as water absorption and sink/float behavior, will also be discussed.

On the second day, the workshop will shift to pet food, focusing on appearance, chewability, and nutritional content. Participants will gain insights into how formulation and extrusion processes affect the texture and visual characteristics of pet food. Through practical demonstrations, attendees will explore how to optimize chewability and meet nutritional standards.
