ASTM D4402: Fully automated, high throughput

PTD 175 combined with ViscoQC 300 enables automated bitumen testing. The pre-configured ASTM D4402 method supports automatic speed recognition and up to three temperatures per run, reducing operator effort. Automated multi-point temperature calibration and adjustment at up to 20 temperatures ensures maximum accuracy and eliminates audit risk. Fast Peltier heating and cooling enables rapid temperature changes and significantly higher throughput than electrical chambers. For temperatures up to +300 °C, ETD 300 is required.

From QC to advanced temperature ramps

PTD 175 supports flexible temperature-driven viscosity testing to match both routine QC and advanced analysis needs. Users can run QC measurements at a fixed set temperature, perform automated temperature scans at predefined temperature points, or execute temperature ramps with continuous viscosity measurement between two temperatures. For temperature ramps, the temperature change rate can be precisely defined, allowing controlled, reproducible studies of temperature-dependent viscosity behavior.
