Enhancing Paint and Varnish Quality: Leveraging Mechanical Surface Characterization for Quantitative Insights & Product Improvement

Join us for an informative webinar as we delve into the world of mechanical surface characterization methods. Discover how techniques like scratch analysis, instrumented indentation, and tribology testing offer valuable quantitative insights for the characterization of paints and varnishes. Learn how manufacturers can leverage these methods to optimize formulations and application processes, ultimately enhancing the quality of their products. Don't miss this opportunity to gain a competitive edge in the coatings industry!

Key Learning Objectives

The paint and varnish industry is interested in the improvement of the protective and decorative function of their products against external forces and environmental conditions. The adhesion, the scratch resistance, the mechanical properties like hardness and elastic modulus, the durability and the life time of paints and varnishes can be determined by means of mechanical surface characterization instruments. This webinar will show how the performance of different paints and varnishes can be compared in quantitative terms.
