Advanced digital workshop: Instrumented indentation testing (IIT)
You already know how to use instrumented indentation instruments and would like to know how to test more challenging samples? Or you have already measured some samples and would like to understand more about the measurement method and how to optimize it? Then the advanced digital workshop on instrumented indentation testing is for you.
In the first two sessions of this online workshop we will explain some of the less well-known parameters of the indentation procedure, mapping measurements and particle crush testing using the NHT³ and MCT³. You will learn how to optimize the test parameters and how to set up a large matrix indentation measurement as well as how to proceed with compression of particles. In the third session of this workshop, we will show you how to measure small samples using the adjustable sample holder and the UNHT³ and we will explain the constant strain rate method for dynamic measurement. The fourth session will be dedicated to the Bioindenter and the characterization of soft samples and samples immersed in liquids. We will discuss the main challenges of testing of soft samples and how to overcome them.
Each of the four sessions will take approximately 45 minutes and will be demonstrated live on the instruments by Anton Paar application specialists. You will have the possibility to ask questions after each session.
