The MCR MultiDrive in the Composite Industry

From the Rheology and the Raman spectroscopy of an uncured RTM6 Epoxy Resin to the Dynamic Mechanical Analysis of the cured component

The aim of this report is to show the capability of an MCR MultiDrive for the research of an RTM6 epoxy resin covering from its initial curing process until the thermo-mechanical properties of the finally cross-linked product. For that purpose, both the rheological study of the polymerization evolution of the uncured resin and the Dynamic Mechanical Analysis (DMA) of the cured product were performed using a single device. For a further understanding of how the gelation evolves due to chemical changes in the molecular structure of the sample, Raman spectroscopy was coupled to rheological measurements.
