Anton Paar ShapeTec has purchased a company building in Carinthia

2019-09-02 | Corporate

Strong growth and a further increase in order intakes are pushing Anton Paar ShapeTec GmbH to its capacity limits. For this reason, a company building was purchased in Wolfsberg (Carinthia), which creates 300 new jobs.

In 2006, the Anton Paar Group took over the insolvent supplier MSB Morocutti GmbH in Graz for continuing the company under the name Anton Paar ShapeTec. Today, with a turnover of 35.5 million Euro (2018), the supplier company is one of the most successful subsidiaries of the Anton Paar Group. The expansion of the location is not only a necessary measure to avoid capacity bottlenecks, but also enables further growth of the company. It was not possible to expand the production site in Wundschuh to the desired extent, so the production will also be in Wolfsberg starting in January 2020. For this purpose, an optimally equipped company building was purchased from the automotive supplier Mahle.

Growing order situation
The focus on the quality segment and the large extent of horizontal and vertical manufacturing have paid off. "We have customers in the sectors of aerospace, rail transport and medical technology, but we also want to reach other sectors in the future and expand our customer portfolio," Managing Director of Anton Paar ShapeTec GmbH Johannes Bernsteiner says.

Up to 300 new jobs
The expansion of the office and production areas will create up to 300 additional jobs. Anton Paar ShapeTec currently has 205 employees. Also Anton Paar GmbH in Graz needs additional capacities in personnel and space. "We are particularly looking for software developers, engineers and skilled workers, automation engineers and IT technicians. In Graz and in Wundschuh, the expansion of the companies and the recruitment of employees in several fields is very difficult at the moment. Here in Carinthia, we have access to a new labour market," CEO of Anton Paar Group AG Dr. Friedrich Santner explains.

The production in Wolfsberg will specialise in precision sheet metal production, machining, surface technology, plastic injection moulding technology and component assembly. However, employees in the fields of software, construction and IT for the Anton Paar Group are also needed. Current job offers are online: www.anton-paar.com/jobs.
