Material Brief: Mesoporous Zeolites - autosorb iQ

A mesoporous zeolite was analyzed using Ar (87 K) adsorption on the autosorb iQ. The BET area and DFT pore size and volume distribution were calculated from the data following IUPAC recommendations

Important properties for mesoporous (hierarchical) zeolites include the BET surface area and the micro- and mesopore volume and size distributions. In particular, pore size is directly related to transport properties of reagents through the material, as well as what can or cannot enter and access the zeolite’s catalytic sites. The autosorb iQ was used to measure the adsorption isotherm on mesoporous zeolite Y and the BET area and DFT pore size and volume distributions were calculated from the measured isotherm.
