Webinar on characterization of magneto-rheological fluids

Magnetorheology is the science of the flow behavior of magnetorheological- and ferrofluids. These fluids are so-called smart materials whose properties (viscosity, modulus) significantly change when a magnetic field is applied.

This webinar deals with the basics of Rheology with a special focus on investigation of materials whose rheological properties are influenced by application of magnetic field. Such smart fluids find their usage in a range of application from optics to aerospace. 

A brief outline of the webinar is given below:

Kartik Pondicherry

Dr. Kartik Pondicherry has a Doctorate in Tribology from the University of Leoben in Leoben, Austria. With over a decade of experience in the field of tribology, Dr. Pondicherry managed the global tribology portfolio at Anton Paar in Graz, Austria until the end of 2019. He later moved to India and started as a Technical Manager for Rheology at Anton Paar India. Over the past years, Dr. Pondicherry has conducted numerous seminars and trainings for people from both academia and industry across the globe. 

Sumit Singh

Dr. Sumit Singh is working as a Application Specialist, Characterization Division at Anton Paar India, He completed his PhD on “Thermal and Rheological study on Polymer modified Bitumen” from IIT Roorkee. He has keen interest in Rheology along with its wide range applications and modularity. He has experience in providing trainings and delivering webinars, lab sessions on numerous applications of rheology such as asphalt, polymers, DMTA, gels etc. He has presented many research papers in National & International forums and have received few academic accolades too during his research career.
