Inline Beverage Analyzer:
Wine Monitor 5500/5600
Wine alcohol, extract and CO2 determination
The ability to accurately monitor wine quality is an important part of the modern winemaking process. The new Wine Monitor 5500 and Wine Monitor 5600 are highly accurate instruments for the continuous monitoring of the alcohol content, extract, density, and CO2 concentration of all wines – from red, white, and rosé wines to wine mix drinks. Check the sparkle of your standard or low-calorie champagne, sparkling wine, prosecco, spumante, or cava. Optionally color and oxygen can be determined as well.
Using digital signal processing and a new mechanical design, the Wine Monitors deliver stable, drift-free results and help keep your production highly efficient.
Key features
Two system configurations to suit your requirements
Wine Monitor 5500
Density and sound velocity sensor combined with a p/T (volume expansion) CO2 measurement
- Low maintenance – depending on the operating conditions maintenance is required on average every 6 to 18 months
- Product-specific setups at the best value
- W-shaped oscillating tube
- Digital signal processing
- New mechanical design for reduced size and weight
Wine Monitor 5600
Density and sound velocity sensor combined with an optical CO2 measurement
- Product-independent measurement (whatever your beverages’ solubility, sugar composition, foreign gases, color, or turbidity: nothing influences your readings)
- Suitable for hygienic applications
- Maintenance-free
- W-shaped oscillating tube
- Digital signal processing
- New mechanical design for reduced size and weight
Ensured product quality with wine- and sparkling–wine-specific values
- CO2 pressure at 20 °C for the purpose of defining sparkling wine taxes at the filler
- Alcohol concentration in g/L, %v/v or %w/w
- Highly accurate CO2 measurement to improve the flavoring and perception of still wines
Fits your production environment
Equipped with an internal sample pump the Wine Monitor can be installed directly in the main line. The very robust and compact setup does not require any bypass, which saves you additional implementation costs.
Rapid production start
Accommodate a wide range of wines, sparkling wines, and wine mix drinks immediately after installation with little or no adjustment. This reduces your downtimes and makes your production line fit for immediate change of products using the same monitor without being dependent on additional monitors to measure your wine parameters.
Ease of use
A simple touchscreen user interface facilitates the setup of the instrument and product parameters. In addition, you can visualize your process and display graphical trends with just a few clicks. By setting lower and upper limits on measurement values, alarms can be set and triggered using digital or relay outputs.
Improved process capability – keeping an eye on all relevant key parameters
The powerful data acquisition and visualization software (client-server) Davis 5 enables you to save all data and alarms, provides statistical process control and graphical trend analysis, and allows product adjustments. Password-protected access to all measuring systems is possible from various locations, while providing powerful reporting and integration with your corporate quality management system.
