Design Engineer for Plastic Components (f/m/x)

• Design and manufacturing-oriented development of injection-molded parts and plastic components.
• Collaboration with industrial design to implement challenging requirements.
• Conducting feasibility analyses and identifying optimization potential.
• Technical coordination and close collaboration with suppliers.

• Completed technical education (Higher Technical Institute, University of Applied Sciences or Technical University) in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field, or extensive relevant experience in plastic component design.
• Comprehensive knowledge of material selection and properties of plastics.
• Experience with manufacturing processes for plastic components, especially injection molding and TSG.
• Proficiency in CAD systems (preferably SolidWorks or Creo).
• Practical experience with rapid prototyping and small-series production of plastic components.
• Strong team player with flexibility and a pronounced quality focus.
• Excellent spatial visualization skills and enthusiasm for designing and optimizing innovative products.
• Excellent German and English language skills (spoken and written).

This position is subject to the collective agreement governing employees in the metal sector. Your actual salary depends on your experience and qualifications. For the vacant position it will usually be set within the following range (gross per month, excluding overtime): € 3.800  to € 5.000.
