Service Coordinator

Anton Paar, one of the world leaders in laboratory instrumentation and services, has a vacancy for a brand new role of Service Coordinator based at its UK headquarters in St Albans/Luton. Reporting to the Service Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for providing the primary interface with customers in scheduling both preventative maintenance, repairing activities for the field engineering team and supporting the sale of service contracts. This position is office based.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with engineers and customers to plan maintenance visits 2 to 3 weeks in advance using CRM to see the upcoming work and book appointments
  • Maintain a team view showing all planned visits with priorities along with all outstanding workload for the coming weeks
  • Manage incoming technical enquiries from customers and allocate to the right resource for resolution
  • Re-plan workload as required to provide timely response and resolution to instrument breakdowns through organization of engineering resource and management of purchase orders.
  • Run analysis to identify the spare part requirements for upcoming work, compare to available stock and ensure stock levels are appropriately maintained.
  • Be fully compliant with CRM requirements, ensuring complete accurate records are maintained of internal and external communication.

Requirements:

  • Previous resource scheduling / planning experience
  • Relevant customer service experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication experience
  • Proven experience of delivering performance objectives through cross functional teams.
  • Good geographical knowledge of the UK
  • High level of attention to detail
  • IT literate, experience of CRM & SAP ideally but not necessary
  • Good geographical knowledge of the UK
  • Ability to multi-task effectively and prioritise workload
