Social responsibility: Donation to SOS Children’s Village
Three things remain with us from paradise: stars at night, flowers in daylight and the eyes of children. (Dante Alighieri)
After 50 years of family life with over 600 children, the SOS Children’s Village Stübing near Graz is worn out. The housing and infrastructure no longer meet current requirements and living standards. 10 family houses are in need of major renovation and houses for 5 live-in children’s groups, guest families as well as a family center need to be built to ensure a comfortable and functional home to future generations of children. The building project “New SOS Children’s Village Stübing” is largely financed with donations and corporate sponsoring.
Anton Paar GmbH has been awarded as a women- and family-friendly company: flexible working time models, an in-house kindergarten and nursery and the possibility to bring children along to the workplace in cases of emergency, for example, all contribute to a better work-life balance. In addition to this, the company places great value on realizing its social responsibility and to support various charitable projects and organizations.
This is why we would like to make a contribution of 50,000 Euro in the name of all employees to give children a future and a home.
“We cannot choose the situation we are born into and the possibilities we are given at the start of our life. Everyone who has something to give is responsible for contributing to a better social balance. Both financially as well as in non-material ways”, says Maria Santner.
