Anton Paar ProveTec is awarded innovation prize

The Brandenburg Ministry of Economic Affairs has awarded Anton Paar ProveTec with the Innovation Prize Metal 2014 for “an innovative cooling system for a cold filter plugging point (CFPP) tester for diesel fuels”.

This year, the Ministry of Economic and European Affairs of Brandenburg in Germany awarded the Brandenburg Innovation Prize Metal for the first time. It is awarded for product, process, service and marketing innovation that meets a high technical standard and for which a good or great market success can be expected.

The innovative cooling system refers to a process of temperature control in a temperature device as well as this device’s consistency. The device is a component of the Callisto 100 CFPP tester introduced to the market in April 2014.

The new cooling system warrants excellent temperature homogeneity in the temperature device. This is one of the most important and influential parameters for an accurate state-of-the-art CFPP determination.

The prize was awarded on November 20, 2014 in the course of the cluster conference metal on the company site of Mercedes-Benz Ludwigsfelde GmBH by Hendrik Fischer, state secretary in the Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy of the Brandenburg county.

For the 74 employees of Anton Paar ProveTec GmbH, the Brandenburg Innovation Prize Metal is an acknowledgment of their successful work and an incentive for the future.

The metal industry is the backbone of the Brandenburg economy. It influences the economic structure of many regions in the county and ranks among the most employment-intensive and profitable industry sectors of processing trade and manufacturing. The metal cluster in Brandenburg includes about 2600 companies and institutions with approx. 38,500 employees.
