Face masks that cover the wearer’s mouth and nose are intended to prevent large particles from being expelled by the wearer into the environment, and can protect the wearer against non-aerosol particles of sufficiently large size. There exists a growing demand to quickly characterize the various filter media used in the construction of this type of personal protective equipment. Thankfully there are well-established techniques already in use to characterize a wide range of porous materials, and this webinar will address how they can be used effectively for this specific application.
