I gain satisfaction in knowing that the solutions I recommended help customers resolve issues and in showing them how to get the best out of our instruments. For people who love challenges, there are plenty of them in product application! We are involved in almost the entire sales process; from pre-sales technical support to after-sales training and application support. Every step of the process is challenging – from highlighting our products with product presentations and demonstrations to supporting the customers in their difficult applications. Great satisfaction can be achieved when you are able to help customers in their work progress using our instruments.
I started my journey as an application specialist with Anton Paar in 2017. Prior to joining, I was in a similar role for approximately seven years. Currently, I support multiple product lines like Particle Characterization, Nano-Surface Properties, Material Characterization, and Analytical and Synthetic Chemistry. I relish the prospect of acquiring new knowledge and know-how, and sharing this with my customers. I am also a regional trainer with the Asia Pacific Technical Center, supporting my sales and application colleagues in the region in knowledge transfer and helping them on their journey to become product specialists.
It is essential to be willing to learn and adapt to the changing and unexpected requirements of customers. They demand the best from an analytical instrument which means we have to acquire as much knowledge and experience as possible both in the lab and also out in the field. For me, it is interesting and rewarding to meet many customers from different industries. This is what I really like about my job.
