USP <232> & <233> Are Here…Now What?

As of January 1, 2018, it became mandatory to comply with USP chapters <232> & <233> that describe the new way to perform elemental impurities analysis. The new procedures include a detailed section on accepted sample preparation techniques. For the large quantity of samples that are not directly soluble in aqueous or organic solvents, closed vessel digestion is required before proper analysis can be done.

Darren Wilson has been with Anton Paar USA since 2005, primarily as a product specialist for density meters, viscometers, refractometers, NIR analyzers, process instrumentation and most recently, laboratory microwaves. He has authored and co-authored several articles on various topics such as precision density measurement and biogeochemistry. He has a Bachelor of Science in Atmospheric Chemistry from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master of Science in Biogeochemistry from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
