RheoSAXS – relating nanostructures to macroscopic properties

The combination of rheology and small-angle X-ray scattering has great potential for relating structural changes directly to rheological behavior of liquid samples. This is of special interest in the field of medicine, pharmaceuticals, and also functional materials. The viscosity of materials often defines their applicability as well as manufacturability. Hence it is very useful to understand the structural changes of such materials under shear for optimizing products.
Anton Paar has combined two of the most sophisticated devices on the market, the SAXSpoint 5.0 system and a unique RheoSAXS measurement setup using the DSR 502 rheometer. This combination allows a precise analysis of such materials. This webinar will give an overview of the hardware and an introduction to the application.

The webinar content will:

  • Introduce the unique RheoSAXS measuring setup integrated into the SAXSpoint 5.0 system
  • Give application examples showing the potential and benefits of combined rheo-scattering analysis

Target group:

  • Beginners to experts in small-angle X-ray scattering
  • Anyone interested in the characterization of nanostructured materials
  • Anyone interested in analyzing the rheological behavior of materials
