How to improve membrane performance with surface zeta potential measurements

In aqueous filtration processes the surface charge of a membrane is one of the most relevant factors. It is related to the zeta potential and provides direct information on the membrane’s surface chemistry and its interaction with charged species in the feed solution. The benefit of the streaming potential method for zeta potential analysis, as presented here, is that membranes can be studied under environmental conditions. Therefore, this method allows to visualize a membrane’s behavior in the technical process.

This webinar will focus on surface zeta potential analysis and exemplary measurement results derived from different membrane types related to membrane fouling, surface modification and membrane cleaning.
