Technical Sales Manager – Business Unit Measurement (Kuwait, Oman & Qatar)

Anton Paar UAE is strengthening its direct presence in Kuwait, Oman, and Qatar and is seeking an experienced Technical Sales Manager – Business Unit Measurement. Based in Abu Dhabi, you will take full sales ownership of these three markets, driving new business, re-engaging existing customers, and delivering hands-on technical sales across Anton Paar’s Measurement portfolio.

Responsibilities:

Anton Paar Scientific Instruments – L.L.C – S.P.C (Anton Paar UAE) is part of the multinational Anton Paar Group and is responsible for the sales and service of highly accurate laboratory instruments and process measuring systems in the United Arab Emirates.

As part of our continued regional expansion, Anton Paar UAE has transitioned selected markets from distributor-based coverage to direct sales. We are therefore seeking a highly experienced Technical Sales Manager – Business Unit Measurement to take full commercial and technical ownership of Kuwait, Oman, and Qatar.

This is a senior individual contributor role with end-to-end responsibility for business development, direct sales, and customer engagement in the assigned territories. The position is based in Abu Dhabi, with frequent regional travel to Kuwait, Oman, and Qatar.

The role covers a broad Measurement portfolio, including:

  • Gas Analysis (CO, Oxygen, and TPO Meters)

  • Lab Density & Concentration (Density Meters)

  • Lab Productivity Systems (Sample Changers, Laboratory Software)

  • Refractive Index & Polarimetry (Sugar Analyzers, Refractometers)

  • Volatility & Consistency (Oxidation Stability Analyzers, CFPP Testers, Penetrometers, Flash Point Testers, Distillation Analyzers)

  • Viscometry

The Technical Sales Manager will be responsible for rebuilding and expanding market presence following the transition from the former distribution partner, re-engaging existing customers, developing new business opportunities, and growing the installed base across all three countries.

 

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Take full sales responsibility for Kuwait, Oman, and Qatar, including achievement of assigned sales targets.
  • Drive new business development while actively re-engaging and expanding relationships with existing customers.
  • Develop and maintain strong long-term customer relationships across academia, industry, and government sectors.
  • Prepare accurate quotations, proposals, and commercial offers; lead negotiations to successfully close business.

Technical Sales Execution

  • Conduct regular on-site product demonstrations, installations, and customer training across assigned territories.
  • Act as the primary technical and commercial contact for customers throughout the sales cycle.
  • Maintain strong application knowledge across the Measurement portfolio to address customer requirements effectively.

Market & Customer Engagement

  • Represent Anton Paar at exhibitions, seminars, workshops, and customer events in Kuwait, Oman, and Qatar.
  • Identify market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs; provide structured feedback to management.

Internal Coordination & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate sales pipelines, forecasts, and customer data within SAP CRM.
  • Coordinate closely with Anton Paar headquarters, product management, and applications teams to support complex customer requirements.
  • Ensure smooth handover to service teams and follow up on customer satisfaction after installation.

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in technical sales of analytical or laboratory instruments.
  • Proven hands-on sales experience in Kuwait, Oman, and Qatar.
  • Strong technical understanding of measurement technologies such as density, viscosity, refractive index, gas analysis, and related techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously as a senior individual contributor.
  • Arabic language proficiency highly advantageous for regional customer engagement.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel regionally (approximately 25–40%).
