Research as the engine for innovation

  • A company that wants to be able to provide customers with the best solutions always has to do more than other companies on the market. Innovation is the basis for progress and part of our DNA. Conflict Minerals

We accept responsibility for our stakeholders. It is therefore important for us to know about the conditions under which the materials we use are obtained and processed. We pay particular attention to the subject of conflict minerals. Tantalum, tungsten, tin, and gold from the Democratic Republic of the Congo and neighboring countries are included in this designation. In July 2010 the Dodd-Frank Act became US federal law. Alongside the currently effective financial market regulations, the Dodd-Frank Act obligates companies listed on the US stock exchange to avoid minerals from conflict regions.

Anton Paar is not listed on the stock exchange but believes that considering the Dodd-Frank Act in our supplier chain is in the public interest – and also corresponds to the repeated requests of our customers. On this subject there is a clear statement from the management, embedding of the requirements in our General Purchasing Conditions and reporting procedures for potential new suppliers relevant for the supply chain. For these reporting procedures and for the successive evaluation of existing suppliers regarding conflict minerals, we are using a standardized questionnaire.

The current status of the sources of supply of our suppliers can be seen here.
