Starch Cell
The starch cell with its rapid heating and cooling allows the measurement of the gelatinization process of starch as in the amylograph or RVA. A special stirrer prevents sedimentation of the starch particles before the gelation. Oscillatory measurements on the gelled sample are possible. A closed system (pressure cell) is available for measurements above 100 ºC.

The pressure cell is an optional accessory for the cylinder temperature control devices and allows the measurement of samples under pressures up to 150 bar. The pressure cell is fully closed to the environment; it can either be used as a self-pressurizing system or pressurized by using a gas tube or compressor.
Pressure measuring cells can be operated with all cylinder temperature control units.
