SurPASS Electrokinetic Analyzer
Features & Benefits

An indispensable contribution to solid surface analysis

The surface charge of a solid material influences the interaction with its surroundings, which makes this property decisive for many applications in technical fields and life sciences. The knowledge of surface charge is therefore of paramount importance to take influence on the solid surface behavior.

Quantitative information is available in short time with the SurPASS electrokinetic analyzer.

From tiny particles to large wafers

The enormous flexibility of the SurPASS measuring cells enables the zeta potential analysis of solids of almost any size and shape. The range of applications starts with powder samples of particle size from some tenth of microns to more than one millimeter. The same measuring cell accomodates fibre material of different origin like glass, carbon or textile fibres. The step towards samples with planar surfaces only requires the exchange of the measuring cell.

Save time, reduce downtime

High throughput of samples is nowadays a stringent requirement not only for industrial applications. The quick exchange of the measuring cells and little effort for sample preparation decrease the downtime of the SurPASS.

Fully automated measurement

Knowledge of the electrolyte pH and its influence on the zeta potential are essential for the understanding of surface charge and chemistry. The integrated titration unit allows a fully automated investigation of zeta potential depending on pH and other liquid properties within short measuring time.
