Aims

The Santner Foundation is a charitable foundation for public utility as defined under §§ 34ff BAO (Austrian law).

The foundation supports:

• non-commercial scientific work and research in the field of natural science and technology
• the prevention of drug addictions and rehabilitation of drug addicts

The foundation is a non-profit organization.

Projects

• The Santner Foundation finances the prizes for the Styrian award winners of the competition "Fire, Water, Earth, Air, Environment, Technology @Chemistry", organized by the Austrian Association of Chemistry Teachers.
  
• The Anton Paar Science Award
  The Anton Paar Science Award was granted as part of the 11th Austrian Chemical Days in Leoben, from 19-22 September, 2005. The award is aimed at up-and-coming scientists and was awarded in 2005 to Dr. Christoph Sotriffer.
  
  Dr. Sotriffer comes from Bolzano in Italy. He studied Chemistry in Innsbruck and is currently working as a scientific research assistant at the University of Marburg.
  
  Dr. Sotriffer was awarded the Anton Paar Science Award for his work on the structural variations of enzyme complexes which can be used to treat diabetes.
